Flower guild

St Dunstan’s flower guild.

We have sixteen members and our Annual meeting is usually held in February in London House, chaired by the Vicar.  During the year we meet locally over coffee to discuss events such as weddings.

The Sanctuary Vase is decorated ten months of the year.  We do not have flowers during Lent and Advent.  The Church is beautifully decorated for Christmas, Easter, Harvest, some Saint’s Days and funerals if requested.

For weddings we meet with the bride to discuss their preferences for colours etc., and what their budget is.  We also request a donation of one hundred pounds which goes toward the cost of flowers during the year.

Anyone wishing to join us should contact Sheila Humphrey on 01435 873112.

This small team of volunteers is organized by Shelia Howden (01435 830277).

Here, particular home-grown and hand-picked arrangements are created for our fortnightly Eucharist, so three cheers for our commitment to bio-diversity!
