Ringers Outing 2011

Jubilee Ringers in the Tower

On Saturday 2nd June rang for the Jubilee and which was replicated throughout the country at some time during the weekend plus a Quarter Peal is planned for Friday 15th at 20.00 to celebrate a milestone in Jo Woodliffe’s ringing career.

A quarter peal is rung for a special occasion, and consists of ringing permutations on the bells without the repetition of a sequence. We shall be ringing quite a few brides and grooms on their way during the summer and autumn and are planning a ringing outing to the Kent Marshes towards the end of the year.

Sadly we do not have enough ringers to ring a method on all 8 of our lovely bells, so if there are any former ringers, or non ringers who would like to be trained, they would be most welcome to join us for practice on a Tuesday evening at 20.00
